These bad bots can be harmed for a website, if it is not properly protected. How to protect your website from these bots visits? You can use user agent to stop visiting some unusual bots to your website by using a robots.txt file. I have extracted some bad bots from my log file, and would like to publish here. This is Web pages created just for search engines, where it delivers one version of a page to a Internet user and a different version to a search engine. Cloaking Web pages are created to do well for particular keywords. There are various ways to deliver cloaking Web pages. Each search engine’s spider has an agent name, the cloaked page is than only delivered to the spider with the user agent name that was chosen. You can also deliver cloaked pages to the search engines by IP address, but Google and other search engines say they can detect cloaking. There are other reasons to use cloaking, such as custom language delivery and geotargeted advertising.

Yahoo Inc. on Monday announced a new "Smart Ads" feature for its HotJobs board, along with a company profile feature that showcases employment brands using rich media and company-specific content.

Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Yahoo (NASDAQ: YHOO) said the features are designed to help recruitment advertisers meet their hiring and branding objectives by delivering more relevant job listings to candidates.

"Recruiters can leverage Yahoo's innovations in targeting -- behavioral targeting, contextual targeting, career interest, location, and HotJobs' R.E.A.L. search ranking system -- to find the right candidates," the company said.

YouTube has added long form videos/movies, in the form of deals with indie filmmakers, and launched its YouTube Screening Room. "While the majority of these films have played at international film festivals, occasionally you'll find films that have never before screened for wide audiences," the company said. Four shorts to be released every two weeks, with feature-length projects to be considered on a case-by-case basis, reports NTV. The company is courting indie filmakers this week at the Los Angeles Film Festival.

Yahoo said it introduced two new e-mail domains on Wednesday, allowing users to select new, simpler e-mail addresses ending in ymail.com and rocketmail.com.
The current yahoo.com Web-based e-mail service has more than 260 million users worldwide, so many new users must adopt elaborate addresses because simpler ones are unavailable.

E-mail accounts on ymail.com or rocketmail.com will have the same features available with yahoo.com addresses including unlimited storage, being able to instant message from within their e-mail inbox and spam and virus protection.

Google bombing happens when a group of sites join to link to an unflattering page about a company such that this page rises to the top of the search results in Google.

A recent example of Google bombing is "click here", which is optimized for Official Adobe website. When we type in Google search bar "click here" the results followed by this search term is amazingly different and coming up with www.adobe.com site.
