Every well-targeted Internet marketing strategy must perform web anayltics to be more successful. Web analytics is the process of collecting, analyzing and reporting Internet data to understand and optimize web use and consumer behavior on your web site. There are two types of web analytics; on-site and off-site. 1. On-site web analytics measures a visitor's usage behavior as they view your web site. This kind of data tells you which landing pages encourage people to purchase. The main purpose of on-site web analytics is to measure the performance of your site in a commercial context. 2. Off-site web analytics measure a web site's potential audience, visibility and buzz around the Internet in general. Off-site analytics can be utilized whether you have your own web site or not. Without strong web analytics, Internet marketers cannot take advantage of the vast amounts of viewer supplied data received from the web site itself and will likely not reach the same levels of optimization and revenue, as their competitors with strong web analytics.
