Last night I was in my friend's home. During our converstaion, I asked him about top 10 Internet Brands of 2006, and he replied me as em... um.. well.. okay. I said tell me one of the best market brand, he said that according to wordtracker the top selling brands are Youtube and Wikepedia that strom into 2006 top brank ranking. Apart of our conversation about market brands, I'd like to share our last night discussions right here and would like you to comment on it. He said that Internet firm Google has again beaten Apple to the top spot in a global brand ranking that also sees YouTube and Wikipedia debut in the top five Internet Market Brands of 2006. Besides, the annual survey by online branding magazine brandchannel.com often throws up controversial resutls, such as in 2004, when Arabic TV station Al Jazeera was named the world's fifth most influential brand. This year, the 3,625 branding professionals and students who voted have again surprised the world, awarding upstart firms star status when asked: "Which brand had the most impact on our lives in 2006?" Google, the internet search engine that has expanded regionally and moved into online advertising, mail and blogging, seized the top spot for the second consecutive year, ahead of Apple, which again comes in second place. More surprisngly, video sharing website Youtube, which was bought by Google in October last year, stormed into third place. Online encyclopaedia Wikipedia took fourth spot, pushing coffee shop behemoth Starbucks to fifth. Other new brand winnders were NEws Corp's online chat site Myspace, debuting at number 15 in the North American rankings, and Al Jazeera, which advances to the nineteenth spot globally, having launched its English language channel in November. The Pool does not take account of economic brand value, the murky science of assigning a financial value to brand, which regularly ptus the Coca-Cola Company's Coke in first place. This is all what we had in our last nigh discussions, which took nearly about about 3 hours to finish. Well I'm hoping that you could enjoy this week blog and would be looking forward to your comments on this blog post. I'll come to in my new blog post alongwith predicted brands for 2007, which covers all top brands being marked by CNN.com.
