In six basic steps I'll tell you how to create and submit a Google Sitemap to Google Sitemap Section of Webmaster Area.

How to create Sitemap Files (Method -1)

There are many services providing free sitemap generation tools which can help you to create one sitemap within a few seconds. But be aware, some web sites owners are given their free online services is just because to hack your web site. I’d recommend you to use http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/, whenever I required a sitemap for my clients I use xml-sitemaps to get better results and safe than others. Now you have a new pop-ups window of the website, on the xml-sitemaps you will a URL field, enter your desired URL in the field and then go for some setting:

• Enter the URL in URL Field
• Select “Daily” from Drop Down Menu (Change Frequency)
• Check “Use Server Response” from the given radio button (Last Modification)
• Let the field priority as it is (0.5)
• Click the button Starting.

Add a site: once you accessed to the account, you will certainly see a new window. There you will find a field (add a site here), type in there your site complete address (****wwwww.xxxxxxx.com***) carefully and then submit it for the next step i.e. website owner’s verification.
Verification: Google sitemap requires website owner’s verification. Verification step needs a complete attention, as the risk could be there. So be careful while verifying your website. Click on “verify your site”. It will take you to the next step wherein you will find verifying status of your website that indicates “NOT VERIFIED”. By verifying your site you can access comprehensive statistics and crawl errors about the pages in your site. Look at the drop down menu “Choosing your verification method”. You will probably found two real methods of verification one that you must enter Meta Tags in your html to verify your website, normally we put the given Meta Tags code within the body text area of the index.html page or you can either upload an HTML file with a name they specified. What you will get after the verification process?

Once you verify that you're the site owner, they will provide you with complete statistics and error information about the pages in your site. If you're unable to verify, you can still use the webmaster tools, submit Sitemaps, and see detailed information about those Sitemaps as well as basic information about your site. Moreover, you will get crawling, indexing, status of robots.txt file analysis, etc. in your Google Webmaster Tools Account.

And If your site is verified, you can view:

• Advanced indexing information about your site
• Query stats about your site
• Crawl stats about your site
• Page analysis of your site
• URLs from your site we were unable to crawl, and why we couldn't crawl them

Final Step to Submit a Sitemap

Now you are able to submit your sitemap on Google by using your Google Webmaster Tools account. Click the “Sitemap” Tag. You will see a new window in which you can find “Add a Sitemap” click on that and upload the XML sitemap file and then click the OK button to submit your sitemap successfully. After a few hours you will see the Google has successfully submitted your website for crawling and indexing.
